There are so many wonderful and talented photographers out there in the world. Many are located in our small community of Somerset, Kentucky. I think every photographer has their own perspective on the world and their own unique style. I was sitting down with a pen and paper one day and was trying to think of some way I could capture my own unique style of photography. I love to write, it is one of my favorite passions along with photography. I have been doing both since I was a little girl, writing small stories and snapping pictures of anything and everything. Why couldn't I combine both of my passions into one? This is how Storybook Photography was born.
My perspective for Storybook Photography is to focus on capturing your story. Whatever it is that you would like to share with the world or your close family and friends, I would like to help you do so. My goal is to capture real moments and by doing so, I try to avoid eye contact with you and the camera as much as possible. I feel like most photos are too staged for my taste and I want to try to stray away from the normal "Portraits". I think that if you are wanting posed photos, there are so many amazing photographers around that can deliver that to you.
If you want something different, that shows emotion, and tells a story; you have come to the right place. I would like to sit down for a cup of coffee or any place of your choice, and interview you and whom ever else will be in the photos. I want to get to know my clients and listen to the story you would like to tell. Whether it is your love story, family story, your child's story, or your own personal story; I want to help you capture and illustrate just that.

Storybook Photography Policies
- All Sessions are held in Somerset, KY unless stated otherwise. I am willing to travel and work with you on a location but a traveling fee will be added to the original price.
- I am an outdoor photographer. We can work together on choosing the perfect location for your story to be captured.
- The session fees include the time and creative talent of the photographer.
- Session Fees must be paid in full prior to session.
- You may pay for your session with cash or check at the time of your appointment.
- When your appointment is made, you will receive an email that has the finer points on how to make the most of your custom session. The email will cover everything on how to prepare as well as what to expect the day of your session.
- It is assumed that all clients have familiarized themselves with my policies and pricing prior to arriving for their appointment. Refunds and discounts will not be given due to a client's failure to inquire about prices ahead of time or lack of inspection of any prints or created memory book for approval.
- Sessions usually take up to 30-60 minutes. The best time to capture that perfect lighting is one to two hours before sunset or if you are an early bird, 30 minutes before sunrise.
